Hi all! I’m Katie and I started What Katie’s Baking to keep track of all of my successful recipes (and unsuccessful recipes, which sometimes outnumber the successful ones). After spending day after day reading other food blogs, I realized that I wanted to be just like all of those bloggers that I follow and admire so much. I did this with literally no experience baking beforehand. That clearly didn’t stop me and even after tons of failures (I couldn’t make brownies for at least a year), I can truthfully say it’s the best venture I ever made. I’ve met so many wonderful people and improved my photography (I started this with literally no experience with photography beforehand, too), writing, and baking skills. I consider this blog my part-time job. It can be time-consuming, but it’s what I love and I’m a big advocate of doing what you love.
I’m just going to go ahead and be cliche and say that I’m so thankful for my family, boyfriend, friends, and blog followers. Without them, I wouldn’t have had the courage to start a blog or the strength to keep it up.
