I started What Katie’s Baking to keep track of all of my successful recipes (and unsuccessful recipes, which sometimes outweigh the successful ones). After spending day after day reading other food blogs, I realized that I wanted to be just like all of those bloggers that I admire so much. I’m so glad I started it because I’ve “met” so many wonderful people and improved my photography, writing, and baking skills. I consider this blog my other part-time job. The fun one. It can be time-consuming, but it’s what I love and I’m a big advocate of doing what you love.
I’m currently in college getting a degree in Public Relations and I plan on graduating in December of 2012. After that, I want to go to pastry school at some point. I don’t really have any plans set in stone, so I’m just going with the flow right now.
I’m just going to go ahead and be cliche and say that I’m so thankful for my family, boyfriend, friends, and blog followers. Without them, I wouldn’t have had the courage to start a blog or the strength to keep it up.
